Naftogaz to cut down gas prices for industry from March 1

The maximum price of natural gas for industrial consumers will be reduced by 10.6% on March 1, 2018.

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine will reduce the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers from March 1, 2018, by 10.8%, from UAH 9,195.6 ($344) per 1,000 cubic meters in February 2018 to UAH 8,200.8 ($306).

At the same time, the maximum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers will be reduced by 10.6% on March 1, 2018, from UAH 10,141.2 ($379) per 1,000 cubic meters to UAH 9,063.6 ($339), the company said in a statement.

Naftogaz quotations are differentiated depending on the volume of purchase, payment terms, and payment history, the company said.

All prices are VAT included.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a new law on the natural gas market came into force in Ukraine on October 1, 2015, which deprived Ukraine's National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission of the right to establish prices of natural gas for the industry.

Naftogaz cut the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers by 6% in February 2018, to UAH 9,195.6 per 1,000 cubic meters against January 2018, as well as reduced the maximum prices by 5.5%, to UAH 10,141.2 per 1,000 cubic meters.
