Adjusted to the effect of calendar days, industrial production in January 2018 from January 2017 increased by 2.9%, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has said.

The highest growth in industrial production in January 2018 from January 2017 was recorded in chemical production (by 55.9%), the manufacture of electrical equipment (55.9%) and computers (31%).
The steepest decline was seen in production of coal (by 22%), coke and fuel (by 5.7%).
The report does not include data from the Russian-occupied areas in Donbas and Crimea.
As UNIAN reported earlier, industrial production in Ukraine in 2017 slid by 0.1% from 2016 after a 2.8% increase in 2016 from 2015.
