NBU strengthens official forex rate to UAH 26.98 to dollar

The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate set for February 26 by nine kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.98 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 26:

US$100 cost UAH 2,698.8658 (UAH 2,707.1843 as of February 23);

EUR 100 cost UAH 3,319.3350 (UAH 3,323.3394 as of February 23);

10 RUB cost UAH 4.7548 (UAH 4.7695 as of February 23).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 33.15/33.19, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4770/0.4779.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 16:00 was UAH 26.9887 to the dollar, with 554 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $316.44 million.
