NBU strengthens official forex rate to UAH 26.94 to dollar

The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate set for February 28 by six kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.94 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 28:

US$100 cost UAH 2,694.8185 (UAH 2,700.6610 as of February 27);

EUR 100 cost UAH 3,314.8962 (UAH 3,327.2144 as of February 27);

10 RUB cost UAH 4.8406 (UAH 4.8294 as of February 27).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 33.00/33.03, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4770/0.4779.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.9482 to the dollar, with 540 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $329.24 million.
