Finland to allocate EUR 15 mln to Ukraine for educational projects, energy efficiency

The official noted that over the past four years, Finland had provided more than EUR 34 million in aid to Ukraine.

Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini says Finland will allocate EUR 15 million to Ukraine for educational projects and energy efficiency.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin in Kyiv, March 6, Finnish foreign minister said that since the beginning of the conflict with Russia in eastern Ukraine, his country had provided to Ukraine assistance worth EUR 34 million.

He also said that Finland would increase its support to the country. Moreover, the official noted Finland's contribution to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in eastern Ukraine. According to Soini, 20 representatives from Finland are now part of the monitoring effort.
