Regulator buys almost $60 mln from banks in Ukraine on Mar 7

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$58.8 million from banks at a currency auction announced on Wednesday, March 7.

A weighted average auction rate was set at UAH 26.1119 to the dollar, whereas the value of biddings totaled $68.7 million, according to the NBU website.

The regulator reported that the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 11:30 was UAH 26.0895 to the dollar, with 100 deals concluded by that time to the tune of $64.36 million in total.
