Ukrgasbank injects EUR 19 mln in solar power plant construction in Zaporizhia region

In 2016-2017, Ukrgasbank provided a total of over EUR 250 million in loans for the construction of renewable energy facilities.

JSB Ukrgasbank has allocated EUR 19 million loan to a private energy company, Tokmak Solar Energy, for the construction of a 50 MW strong solar power plant outside the town of Tokmak in Zaporizhia region.

Read alsoAlmost US$500 mln to be invested in Ukraine's alternative energy in 2018The first stage of the plant will have a capacity of 11 MW, the Bank's press service of the bank reported on Facebook, adding that n 2018, it will be able to produce 14 million kWh of electricity.

"The completion of the construction is scheduled for December 2018. After the launch, the plant's capacity will amount to 50 MW and will provide 'clean' energy to residents of six districts of Zaporizhia region," the press service said, noting that this is the second solar power plant in Zaporizhia region financed by the bank.
