Naftogaz to raise gas prices for industry from April 1

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine will raise the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers from April 1, 2018, by 9.8%, from UAH 7,896 per 1,000 cubic meters in March 2018 to UAH 8,670.

At the same time, the price ceiling for industrial consumers will grow by 9.8% on April 1, 2018, from UAH 8,889.6 per 1,000 cubic meters to UAH 9,543.6, the company said in a statement.

If a buyer has no debts before Naftogaz or intends to buy at least 50,000 cubic meters of gas per month, the minimum price is applicable. In other cases, buyers are to pay a higher price.

All prices are VAT included.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a new law on the natural gas market came into force in Ukraine on October 1, 2015, which deprived Ukraine's National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission of the right to establish prices of natural gas for the industry.

Naftogaz cut the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers on March 1, 2018, by 10.8%, from UAH 9,195.6 per 1,000 cubic meters in February 2018 to UAH 8,200.8.
