The largest share came from Russia (56%), while Sweden supplied another 44%.
Ukraine in January 2018 imported fuel assemblies, used as fuel at nuclear power plants, worth $81.3 million.
As reported by the State Statistics Service, during the reporting period, 44.9 tonnes of nuclear fuel was purchased from Russia, totaling $52.9 million (in the general structure of purchases, the share of Russian fuel stood at 56%), and from Sweden – at 35.2 tons, worth $28.4 million.
The share of supplies from Sweden was 44%.

At the end of January 2018, Energoatom and Westinghouse extended their contract for supplies until 2025. To date, Swedish fuel has been successfully put into Zaporizhia and Yuzhnoukrainska NPPs.
