Gas reserves in Ukraine down 6.7% over week

At year-start, gas reserves were the largest throughout the past 5 years, with 14.7 billion cubic meters in stock.

Natural gas reserves of natural gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (USFs) from March 17 to 24 decreased by 6.7%, or by 577 million cubic meters, down to 8.035 billion cubic meters from 8.612 bcm.

According to the operator of Ukraine's gas transmission system, the state-owned Ukrtransgaz, on March 24, 75.87 million cubic meters of gas was pumped from the storage facilities.

October 26, 2017, Ukraine stopped pumping gas into its USFs and began its selection for the needs of the heating season.

By the beginning of the heating season 2017-2018 (October 15, 2017), 16.8 bcm of gas had been accumulated.
