The EU Commissioner says Ukraine is a real example for Europe in the context of rebuilding the state.
Ukraine and the European Union are strengthening their dialogue in the area of industry to achieve a higher pace of economy growth in Ukraine and ensuring involvement of Ukrainian producers in the European added value chains and pan-European industrial strategy.
"We are working toward eliminating barriers to our development and get new impulses for moving forward in all sectors," Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said following a Tuesday meeting with a visiting European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs Elzbieta Bienkowska, according to the government press service.
At a joint briefing, Groysman talked about Ukraine's efforts to rebuild infrastructure, make new roads, including toll highways. He also spoke of Ukraine's potential, the ongoing efforts to improve institutional protection of businesses, improving production environment, completion of construction of an anti-corruption vertical, and further decentralization.
"Our priority is 5-7% growth," he said.
In turn, Bienkowska said, "We are talking about making Ukraine part of our common industrial strategy. We are not just talking about support, but also about details and specific features of our industrial dialogue."
She added that Ukraine is a real example for Europe in the context of rebuilding the state. She also called on the Ukrainian authorities to strengthen ties between the country's enterprises and those in the EU as well as contacts within industrial clusters.
