The ministry says this is the way "we will start attracting Ukrainians from [Russian-occupied] Crimea in order that they come back to Ukraine, use the low-cost air service, visit Europe and then [help] return Ukraine to Crimea," Omelyan said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 23, Ukraine's largest state-owned international airport Boryspil and Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv" concluded deals to service Ryanair.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Ryanair would launch 15 flights from Ukraine to European cities as of October 2018 with a starting ticket price of EUR 10 and the average airfare for Ukrainians set at EUR 40.

According to Chief Executive Officer of Ryanair Michael O'Leary, the company is negotiating the launch of flights with four Ukrainian airports, in addition to Boryspil and Lviv airports.
