Ukrainians owe US$547 mln for hot water supplies in Feb – statistics

Households paid a total of UAH 10.3 billion ($391.5 million) for housing and utilities services in February 2018.

Ukrainian households' debts for centralized heating and hot water supplies rose by 10.8% in February 2018 against January 2018, to UAH 14.4 billion, or US$547 million.

Debts for apartment buildings and adjacent areas' maintenance in February 2018 soared by 22.6% from the previous month, to UAH 3.8 billion ($144.4 million), while debts for household waste removal saw no jumps, amounting to UAH 400 million ($15.2 million), Ukraine's State Statistics Service said.

Ukrainians paid UAH 3 billion ($114 million) for electricity in February 2018 (111.5% of the amounts accrued over the period under review due to repayment of debts for the previous period). The remaining debt of households for electricity totaled UAH 3.8 billion ($144.4 million).

Debts for gas supplies were up 26.2% in February against January, to UAH 16.4 billion ($623.3 million).

Households paid a total of UAH 10.3 billion for housing and utility services in February, which accounted for 75.3% of the amounts charged for the period under review.
