The world's largest An-225 Mriya cargo aircraft designed by a Kyiv-based state-owned Antonov flew to Leipzig, Germany, on April 3, 2018.
The aircraft will then go on a commercial flight from Leipzig, Antonov's press service reported.
On Tuesday, An-225 Mriya took off from Antonov International Airport near the town of Hostomel in Kyiv region. The aircraft will be loaded in Germany and will fly to the city of Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian TV Channel 5 reported.
Three more commercial flights are expected in April. Customer and cargo to be hauled are not being disclosed.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Mriya aircraft made a successful test flight in March following repair and modernization. The crew assured that the aircraft is serviceable and ready to fly.
