Ukraine sees 22% rise in sales of new commercial cars in Q1 2018

Renault with 520 cars sold over the period under review showed the best result.

Sales of new commercial vehicles in Ukraine in January-March 2018 (the first quarter/Q1 2018) rose by 22% year-over-year (y-o-y), to 2,873 cars.

MAZ cars produced at Belarusian-based Minsk Automobile Plant ranked second, they acquired 266 Ukrainian license plates, which was 74% up from Q1 2017.

Fiat ranked third with 265 cars sold. Its sales in January-March 2018 fell by 3% y-o-y.

The Citroen brand whose sales in Q1 2018 almost tripled, to 258 cars, as well as the Mercedes-Benz brand with a twofold increase in sales, to 252 vehicles, joined the top five leaders in terms of sales of new commercial cars in Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, sales of new commercial vehicles in Ukraine in 2017 rose by 38% from 2016, to 11,500 cars, according to Ukrautoprom.
