"In 2017, SpetsTechnoExport alone signed new contracts totaling over $35 million. Every year, the company delivers products worth $65 million to India on the average," the press service quoted Bukin as saying.

The most promising areas in military-technical cooperation with India are aircraft repairs and modernization of aircraft fleet, joint development of aviation equipment, the promotion of Ukrainian high-precision weapons, and joint communications projects, Ukroboronprom said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian State Foreign Trade Enterprise SpetsTechnoExport in 2017 fulfilled foreign economic defense contracts worth $120 million, while deals related to exports of the Ukrainian brand-new weapons and equipment produced for the needs of foreign partners accounted for 80%.

Ukroboronprom and SpetsTechnoExport have presented full-sized samples and prototypes of domestic aircraft, naval, armored and ground force weapons at the international exhibition Defense Expo India 2018, held in the Indian city of Chennai on April 11-14.
