Ukrainian gas reserves grow to 7.5 bcm within week

Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (USFs) on April 7-14 rose by 1%, or 74 million cubic meters, from 7.437 billion cubic meters to 7.511 bcm.

The daily volume of gas injection into the USFs was estimated at 20.4 million cubic meters as of April 14, according to the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine started 2018 with 14.7 bcm gas in its USFs, which was the largest gas stock as of the beginning of the year in the past five years.

Ukraine had accumulated 16.8 bcm of gas in the underground storage facilities by the beginning of the 2017-2018 heating season (October 15).
