Ukraine's large, medium-sized businesses post US$5.9 bln profit in 2017

Large and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine received UAH 153.218 billion, or US$5.9 billion, in profit before tax in 2017, which was 1.6 times higher than the figure of UAH 94.039 billion, or $3.6 billion, in 2016.

Financial performance of Ukraine's profitable enterprises grew by 36.2%, to UAH 457.324 billion ($17.5 billion), while that of loss-making companies – by 25.8% over the year, to minus UAH 304.106 billion ($11.7 billion), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service website.

The State Statistics Service said that the data excluded reports from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's large and medium-sized enterprises received UAH 94.039 billion in profit before tax in 2016 against loss in 2015.
