The NBU's assets in 2017 increased to US$39.13 billion.
The assets of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in the first quarter of 2018 shrank by 5.4%, to UAH 972 billion (or US$37.07 billion) as of April 1.
Nonresidents' securities demonstrated the steepest decline – by 10.5%, to UAH 371 billion (US$ 14.15 billion), the NBU reported about a change in the structure of its assets.

The NBU's liabilities in the first quarter fell by 6%, to UAH 810 billion (US$30.89 billion), its net worth declined by 1.9%, to UAH 162 billion (US$6.18 billion).
As UNIAN reported, the NBU's assets in 2017 increased by UAH 85.511 billion, or 9.1%, to UAH 1.026 trillion (US$39.13 billion) as of January 1, 2018, mainly due to the growth of nonresidents' securities.
