Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 7.6% in January-March 2018 (the first quarter/Q1 2018) year-over-year (y-o-y) in comparable prices, to UAH 209.556 billion (US$8 billion).

However, the Ukrainian State Statistics Service has not provided statistics in monetary terms before.

At the same time, last year the agency reported that in January-March 2017 retail turnover amounted to UAH 164.7 billion ($6.3 billion), which was 27.2% down against 2018.

According to the statistics service, comparing data from the relevant periods of the previous year would not be correct, as the 2018 price index has been taken into account and the previous period figures may be updated according to the quarterly report.
