Hungary's Wizz Air plans to transport 1.5 million passengers from Ukraine in 2018, which will be 95% up on 2017, and launch three new routes to Europe in the coming months.
"We plan to transport 1.5 million passengers from Ukraine," Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Wizz Air Holdings Plc. Stephen Jones said at a press conference, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
In total, the company plans to service 35 million passengers this year, he said.

"Last year, we grew by 24%, and this year we plan to increase the number of transported passengers by 20%, to 35 million passengers," he said.
In turn, Deputy Director General of Kyiv International Airport Valery Polishchuk said that Wizz Air accounts for 35% of the airport's passenger traffic at the moment.
"The share of Wizz Air at our airport is 35%. The company has opened more than 20 routes from our airport. We have been cooperating very closely," he said.
Jones also announced on April 27, 2018, that three new routes would be available from Kyiv International Airport in the coming months.
Daily flights from Kyiv to Frankfurt and Berlin (Germany) will be launched on July 1 and to Vienna (Austria) on October 28.
