Ukraine saw a US$272 billion deficit of the balance of payments in January-March 2018 (Q1), which was 50% down from the deficit recorded at $584 million year-over-year (y-o-y).
The deficit of the balance of payments was estimated at $75 million in March 2018 alone, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said.
The current account deficit totaled $763 million in March 2018, while $603 million in Q1 2018.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in 2017 stood at $2.566 billion, which was twice the surplus posted in 2016. The balance showed a surplus for the third year in a row.
