"Some 155 types of goods, in particular, some types of food, produce of the light industry, woodworking, as well as machine engineering, and some electrical appliances have become subject to [trade] restrictions," the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry's press service said.

The USTR enacted the restrictions on April 26 this year, i.e.120 days after the publication of the U.S. President's relevant act on December 22, 2017.

"The Economic Development Ministry is in constant dialogue with the U.S. government to resolve the problem. At the same time, the lifting of the restrictions depends largely on the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada [Ukraine's parliament] of draft law No. 7466 on collective management organizations," the press service said.

The ministry mentioned that the draft law, designed to establish an effective and transparent system of collective management of property rights in the field of copyright and related rights, was adopted in the first reading on March 1. Lawmakers began its consideration in the second reading on April 19.
