The average price of natural gas imported by Ukraine in April 2018 was UAH 8,099.8, or US$309.9, per 1,000 cubic meters, which exceeded the $300 level for the first time in three years, since May 2015.

"The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine has calculated the average customs value of imported natural gas that was formed during customs clearance from April 1 to April 30, 2018. It was UAH 8,099.8, or $309.9, per 1,000 cubic meters," Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry said on its website with reference to the fiscal service.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the average customs value of imported natural gas for Ukraine in March 2018 was $275 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to the ministry.
Ukraine in January-April 2018 reduced natural gas imports by over 54% year-over-year (y-o-y) to 2.2 billion cubic meters (bcm).
In 2016, Ukraine imported 11.1 bcm of gas from Europe alone. Natural gas imports in 2017 were estimated at US$3.228 billion.
