In more bad news for the Ukrainian economy, the National Bank of Ukraine has downgraded its annual inflation forecast for Ukraine to 25% from the 19% projected earlier.
National Bank of Ukraine Governor Valeriya Gontareva gave the new official forecast during the Fifth Ukrainian Investment Forum, which was being held in Kyiv on Thursday.
"Now inflation is already 20% and by the end of the year it will accelerate to 25%," Gontareva said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine’s GDP has decreased to 7.5% in 2014, with a shrink of 4.3% projected in 2015, in accordance with NBU estimates.
