The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening weakened the official hryvnia exchange rate set for May 24 by one kopiyka, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.08 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for May 24:
US$100 cost UAH 2,608.1533 (UAH 2,607.1164 as of May 23);
EUR 100 cost UAH 3,053.6259 (UAH 3,074.8331 as of May 23);
10 RUB cost UAH 4.2344 (UAH 4.2558 as of May 23).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Wednesday, May 23, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market by the middle of trade settled at UAH 26.07/26.09 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 30.51/30.53, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4190/0.4197.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.0815 to the dollar, with 552 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $319.64 million.
