The country's state debt in January-April 2018 grew by 1% in the dollar equivalent, at the same time declining by 5.6% in the hryvnia equivalent.
Ukraine's state and publicly guaranteed debt in April 2018 declined in dollar equivalent by 0.32 billion, or 0.4%, to $77.05 billion as of April 30.
The debt in the hryvnia equivalent over the period under review decreased by UAH 32.62 billion, or 1.6%, to UAH 2.021 trillion, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's website.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's state and government-guaranteed debt in 2017 dropped to 71.8% of GDP from 80.9% in 2016.
