The deficit of foreign trade in commodities grew by 31% y-o-y, to $2.433 billion.
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods and services in January-April 2018 was estimated at US$2.155 billion, which was 23.8% up from a deficit year-over-year (y-o-y).
The deficit of foreign trade in commodities grew by 31% y-o-y, to $2.433 billion, while the surplus of foreign trade in services increased by 1.5 times, to $278 billion, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

However, the National Bank of Ukraine said that Ukraine's foreign trade in goods and services showed a deficit of $6.848 billion in 2017, which was 25.2% up from the deficit reported in 2016.
