Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has called unacceptable and unreasonable the letter Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk had written to ambassadors of the Group of Seven (G7), where the minister claimed the conflict with the appointment of his deputy.

"My colleagues and ministers discussed the issue after the government meeting in Danyliuk's presence. All colleagues believe that such a letter was absolutely unacceptable, while his reaction -- unjustified and emotional," Groysman told one of TV channels.

He noted that the minister had apologized for the move, admitting it was "a mistake."

"Nevertheless, this was not a letter about Danyliuk addressing the European Commission, it was a letter that undermines confidence in Ukraine, which is absolutely unreasonable," Groysman said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Danyliuk wrote a letter to G7 Ambassadors, claiming that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had attempted to appoint his ally to the post of deputy finance minister, while Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman had refused to endorse the candidate nominated by the minister.
