Ukraine boosts electricity exports by 25% in Jan-May

Ukraine boosted electricity exports by 25% in January-May 2018 (in monetary terms), to US$137.2 million year-over-year (y-o-y).

Hungary accounted for 62.2% of the electricity sales abroad (estimated at $85.3 million), while the share of Poland was nearly 23.8% ($32.6 million) and that of Moldova was 11.4% ($15.6 million), the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine saw a 28.6% increase in electricity exports in 2017 against 2016, to 5.166 billion kWh. At the same time, revenue from electricity supplies in 2017 increased by 55%, to $236 million.
