The NBU reminded that according to Law "On the National Bank of Ukraine," the Board of the regulator consists of six persons, including the NBU Governor, his first deputy and four deputies.

The deputies are appointed by the Board on the recommendation of the NBU chief.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada on March 15 supported the proposal of President Petro Poroshenko to dismiss Valeriya Gontareva from the post of NBU Governor and appoint Yakiv Smolii, who was first deputy head of the NBU and since May 11, 2017, worked as its acting head.

The NBU Board also includes deputies Roman Borysenko, Kateryna Rozhkova, Dmytro Solohub and Oleh Churii.

Based on the results of the National Bank competition, Serhiy Kholod, who holds the post of deputy head of the board of VTB Bank, became the candidate for the vacant position in the board of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Kateryna Rozhkova since October 2016 has occupied the post of NBU's deputy head on banking supervision.
