"I conducted a meeting of the Coordination Council with the participation of the security chiefs. We were talking about the effectiveness of combating smuggling and shadow schemes at customs. Everyone acknowledged the highest readiness to eradicate lawlessness at the border. Each hryvnia should go to the budget, and not into someone's pockets," he wrote on Twitter on June 18.

The Cabinet of Ministers and law enforcement agencies have developed a joint plan to combat smuggling, the government's press service reported.

"The plan is ready and we will present it. But I warn everyone: beware and start to serve the state. Each hryvnia should go to the budget. This is fundamentally important both for me as prime minister and for all participants of today's coordination meeting," the press service quoted Groysman as saying.

As UNIAN reported, the prime minister earlier said that the customs revenues grew by UAH 70 billion (US$2.7 billion) in 2017 from 2016 due to de-shadowing. According to the official, the potential for further de-shadowing is at least the same.
