Ukraine's gross external debt exceeds $116 bln as of April 1

Direct investments (inter-firm debt) grew by 4.9% in Q1 2018, to $9.039 billion.

Ukraine's gross external debt as of April 1, 2018 was estimated at US$116.29 billion, which was 0.25%, or $288 million, down from the figure as of January 1, 2018.

The general government debt rose by 0.68% in January-March 2018 (Q1), to $39.153 billion, while the central bank's debt grew by 0.47%, to $7.403 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) website.

The debt of other depository corporations increased by 0.8%, whereas the debt of other sectors shrank by 1.1 %, to $53.861 billion.
