The nominal GDP amounted to UAH 700.4 billion (US$26.5 billion), GDP per person stood at UAH 16,537 ($625), while the change in the GDP deflator accounted for 14.9%.
The State Statistics Service said the report did not include data from the temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, as well as Russian-occupied Donbas in eastern Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has revised upwards its estimate of Ukraine's real GDP growth in 2017 from 2.2% to 2.5%, according to operative estimates, including in the fourth quarter from 1.8% to 2.2%.
In January, the National Bank improved its forecast of Ukraine's GDP growth in 2018 to 3.4%. However, the regulator raised its inflation forecast for 2018 to 8.9%.
The Ukrainian government expects economic growth in 2018 at 3% amid 9% inflation.
The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank project Ukraine's real GDP may grow by 3.5% in 2018 amid 10% inflation.
