Two new air carriers to be set up in Ukraine – infrastructure minister

Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has announced that two new air carriers (one international and another - with domestic capital only) will be established in Ukraine.

"We are close to the creation of two new air carries that will fly in Ukraine: one is international and the other – with Ukrainian capital," he said at a meeting with businesses in the European Business Association on June 21.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian authorities late March concluded an agreement with Ireland's Ryanair.

It was reported that the airline would launch 15 flights from Ukraine with the lowest fare set at EUR 10 starting from the end of October or the beginning of November.

In particular, the company was expected to operate flights from Kyiv to Barcelona (3 flights a week), Bratislava (3), Warsaw (4), Vilnius (3), Wroclaw (3), Gdansk (2), Krakow (3), Poznan 2), Stockholm (3), London Stansted Airport (5). Its planes will also fly from Lviv to Warsaw (3 flights a week), Dusseldorf (3), Krakow (3), Memmingen (2) and London Luton Airport (3).
