Ukrainian gas reserves grow by 45.2% since injection start – Ukrtransgaz

The country's USFs are filled by 34.9% as of today.

Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (USFs) have increased by 45.21%, or 3.361 billion cubic meters (bcm), to 10.796 bcm since the beginning of the injection period (on April 9).

Some 1.23 bcm of gas was injected into the USFs from June 1 to 23, according to the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz.

As of June 23, gas reserves in the USFs amounted to 10.796 bcm, which is by 3.2%, or 355.76 million cubic meters (mcm) less year-over-year (11.152 bcm).

According to Ukrtransgaz, since the beginning of June, Ukraine has imported 795.144 mcm (448,803 mcm through Slovakia, 321,956 mcm through Hungary, 24,382 mcm through Poland), while its own production has amounted to 1.298 bcm since early June, and transit totaled 5.757 bcm.

As reported, the country's USFs are filled by 34.9% as of today.

As UNIAN reported, Ukraine started 2018 with 14.7 bcm gas in its USFs, which was the largest gas stock as of the beginning of the year in the past five years.
