A year earlier, the state budget was reduced to a surplus of UAH 26.5 billion.
The state budget of Ukraine over January-May 2018 was reduced to a deficit of UAH 9.176 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In the same period last year, Ukraine's budget saw a UAH 26.468 billion surplus, the finance ministry reported.

The consolidated budget for the said period was executed with a surplus of UAH 14.584 billion, which is 3.5 times lower than the surplus for the same period of the previous year at UAH 50.479 billion.
As UNIAN reported, the state budget of Ukraine in 2017 was fulfilled with a deficit at UAH 47.850 billion, which is 1.5 times lower than in the previous year.
The state budget of Ukraine for 2018 sets the deficit ceiling at UAH 80.6 billion, or 2.4% of GDP.
