Ukrtransgaz announces tenders for purchasing technological gas worth over US$809 mln

Gas deliveries are scheduled between September 1, 2018, and April 30, 2019.

State-owned operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system Ukrtransgaz has announced 12 tenders (expected value of UAH 21.202 billion/US$809.5 million) for the purchase of 2.437 billion cubic meters (bcm) of technological gas, required to maintain operations of the gas transmission system (GTS).

In particular, Ukrtransgaz announced 10 tenders for the supply of 216.9 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas with expected value of UAH 1.887 billion ($72 million) each and two tenders for the supply of 134 mcm of gas at UAH 1.166 billion ($44.5 million) each, according to the company's statement posted in the ProZorro e-procurement system.

It is reported that the deadline for participation submission is set for July 23-24. The bids will be held on August 28-29.

The gas delivery schedule is set within the period of September 1, 2018 to April 30, 2019.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in mid-April, Ukrtransgaz for the first time held open tenders via the ProZorro e-procurement system to purchase for its own needs natural gas worth UAH 9.4 billion, or $359 million.

UNIAN memo. Ukrtransgaz operates 12 underground gas storages (USFs) with a total working capacity of about 31 bcm. The USFs are an integral part of Ukraine's gas supply system and gas transit through its territory. The company is also the operator of the main gas pipelines, through which natural gas is exported from the Russian Federation to the EU countries. Naftogaz of Ukraine owns 100% of Ukrtransgaz shares.
