"On Tuesday, I'm gathering colleagues from other ministries, tour operators, travel agents, and representatives of airlines. We will end up with unlawfulness, which, in a rush for money, has turned into irresponsibility, and we will bring them all to their senses," the minister said in a comment to a Facebook post by blogger Anton Hodza on July 2.

The latter noted that this year's tourist season was the "most failed" one in the past decade in terms of the performance of air carriers and tour operators.

According to Omelyan, the market has more than doubled over the past two years, which "induced many people to openly cheat." He stressed that it was time "to remind about order and quality as a priority."

As was earlier reported, several thousand tourists could not fly from Kyiv International Airport on July 1.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian tourists were left stranded at Batumi International Airport in Georgia and Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport in Tunisia.
