Ukrainian households' spending on food and non-alcoholic beverages in the first quarter of 2018 (Q1 2018) accounted for 42.1% of consumer's final expenditures.

Ukrainians spent UAH 211.868 billion (US$8 billion) on food and soft drinks over the period under review, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said.
At the same time, they bought alcohol and tobacco worth UAH 37.978 billion ($1.4 billion), which accounted for 7.6% of the expenditures.
The households' final expenditures the first three months of 2018 were estimated at UAH 503.557 billion ($19.2 billion).
As UNIAN reported earlier, in January-May 2018, meat and meat products in Ukraine rose in price by 26.1%, butter and animal fats by 16.8%, milk, cheese and eggs by 23.7%, and bread by 18.4%.
