Ukraine's Antonov, Turkish Aerospace Industries to create JV to develop An-188 military aircraft

Kyiv-based state-owned Antonov and Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. are planning to establish a joint venture to implement a project for the development of the An-188 multi-purpose military transport aircraft.

"In the near future, a Turkish delegation will visit the state-run Antonov to finalize the drafting of legal documents on establishing a joint venture to develop, build and test the An-188 aircraft. According to the legislation, the documents will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for consideration. The Turkish side will carry out the relevant procedure as well," the press service of Ukraine's state-run military-industrial concern Ukroboronprom said in a statement on July 17.

As reported, the parties once again discussed the issue amid the 2018 Farnborough International Airshow, which is held in the UK on July 16-22.
