The president notes that Ukroboronprom is producing PGOF-40 ammunition rounds for the automatic grenade launchers.
Ukraine began mass production of ammunition in accordance with NATO standards, President Petro Poroshenko stated via Facebook.
"State Concern Ukroboronprom is producing PGOF-40 ammunition rounds for automatic grenade launchers. Engineers of the plant are already working to modernize the technological process and increase production volumes," the head of state said.
"We continue strengthening the defense capability of the Ukrainian army!" Poroshenko concluded.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a Kyiv-based state-owned Antonov and Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. are planning to establish a joint venture to implement a project for the development of the An-188 multi-purpose military transport aircraft.
