Today, the agricultural industry in Ukraine already employs 3 million people.
The share of agricultural production in the structure of Ukraine's economy of Ukraine, in case the state continues to support it, could grow from 18% at the moment to 25%, that's according to Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
"The agri-sector is of key importance," Groysman said while visiting one of the farms in Kyiv region Thursday, the government press service reports.
"I'm interested in having more such enterprises, so that we process raw materials, so that there are jobs in rural areas. This is all the guarantee of our success," Groysman said.

The prime minister has assured that the government will continue programs to support agricultural producers.
According to the government, to date, agricultural industry employs 3 million people. Over the six months of this year, the growth of agricultural production amounted to 11.4%, while the average monthly salary in agriculture in January-May 2018 stood at UAH 6,524, which is 24.5% higher than in the same period last year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the growth of the real gross domestic product in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2018 was 3.1% year-on-year.
