The Renault Group has confirmed they have been looking into various projects with potential local industrial partners, related to the accommodating assembly lines in Ukraine for some models of the group's brands, as reported by Renault Ukraine press service in a comment following the statement by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the possibility of placing Renault production lines in Ukraine.
In connection with these intentions, a meeting with Volodymyr Groysman was held on July 18, the press service of Renault's Ukrainian representative office told Liga.net.

"We are starting discussions, so it's too early to say," said Renault Ukraine.
As reported earlier, on Wednesday, July 18, PM Groysman discussed with Renault management the possibility of placing car production lines in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister said he was sure that Ukraine could become a regional hub of automotive production. "We already have excellent examples of our enterprises producing both units, parts, and fully-assembled pieces to the Ukrainian and European markets. I visited these capacities personally," Groysman said.
