Industrial production growth in Ukraine slows to 2.2% in June

The statistical report does not include data from the Russian-occupied areas, namely the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and partly Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Industrial production growth in Ukraine in June 2018 from June 2017 slowed to 2.2% without calendar adjustment against 2.5% in May 2018 year-over-year.

If calendar adjustment is applicable, industrial production growth in June 2018 year-over-year slowed to 2.5% against 2.9% the month before, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said.

Industrial production in June 2018 increased by 0.2% from May 2018, both with and without taking calendar adjustment into account.

The State Statistics Committee said that the highest growth in industrial production in June 2018 year-over-year was recorded in the chemical industry (30.3%), the steepest decline was seen in the manufacture of electrical equipment (6.5%).

As UNIAN reported, industrial production growth in Ukraine in May 2018 slowed year-over-year to 2.5% without calendar adjustment against 3% in April 2018 year-over-year.

In 2017, Ukraine saw a 0.1% decline in production output after a 2.8% increase in 2016.
