Ukrainian farmers export almost 1.5 mln tonnes of grain from July 1

Ukrainian farmers exported 1.494 million tonnes of grain since July 1, 2018, when a new marketing year (July 2018 through June 2019) began.

In particular, wheat shipments abroad totaled 433,000 tonnes, those of barley were 430,000 tonnes and maize exports stood at 631,000 tonnes, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.

What is more, 2,000 tonnes of wheat flour was exported over the period under review.

As UNIAN reported earlier, farmers exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain in the 2017-2018 marketing year, according to rough estimates.
