Court lifts Naftogaz CEO's UAH 7 bln fine set by fiscal service

The court decision may be appealed within 10 days from the date of announcement.

Kyiv's Podolsky district court has recognized unlawful and canceled the decision of the Energy Customs of the State Fiscal Service, according to which Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev was fined UAH 7 billion.

The court made the relevant decision on July 23, which is published in the Unified State Register of Judicial Decisions.

"The motion to recognize unlawful and revoke the decision of the Energy Customs of the State Fiscal Service of February 27, 2018 in the case of violation of customs regulations No. 0011/90300/18 – shall be partially satisfied... The decision of Head of the Energy Customs of the State Fiscal Service Pikovsky I.O. of February 27, 2018 on the case of violation of customs regulations shall be cancelled...[on] the imposition on the citizen of an administrative penalty in the form of a fine at 300 percent of the unpaid amount of customs payments worth UAH 7 billion," reads the report.

The decision of the court may be appealed in the Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal within 10 days from the date of its announcement.
