Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry says the highest average wage in June, that is UAH 9,774 (US$365), was reported in Donetsk region.

"In general, the average nominal wage in Ukraine in June 2018 stood at UAH 9,141 [$342], which is 2.5 times up against the minimum wage and 24.2% more than in June last year," the ministry's press service said.
Among the leaders are also Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, with UAH 9,481 ($354) and UAH 9,065 ($339), respectively.
"Statistics show that employees in the field of pharmaceuticals, finance, insurance, IT, and telecommunications receive the highest salaries in Ukraine," the press service added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, wage arrears across Ukraine in June 2018 grew by 6.3% from May 2018, to UAH 2.723 billion ($101.8 million) as of July 1, 2018, according to the State Statistics Service.
