Wage arrears in Ukraine grow by 6.3%, to over US$101 mln in June

Wage arrears have increased by 15% since the beginning of the year.

Wage arrears across Ukraine in June 2018 grew by 6.3% from May 2018, to UAH 2.723 billion (US$101.8 million) as of July 1.

Since the beginning of the year, delayed wages have grown by 15%, according to the State Statistics Service.

Wage arrears to employees of operating enterprises as of July 1 totaled UAH 1.566 billion, or $58.5 million (111% compared to the figure as of June 1, 2018).

The State Statistics Service said the report did not include data from the temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, as well as Russian-occupied Donbas in the east of Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the average nominal salary of a full-time employee in Ukraine in June 2018 grew by 24.2% year-over-year, to UAH 9,141 ($342).
