Ukrainian Treasury's balance estimated at US$74.2 mln as of Aug 1

The balance of funds in the single account of Ukraine's State Treasury Service was estimated at UAH 1.995 billion (US$74.2 million) as of August 1, which was the lowest level since January 2014, when the balance was UAH 1.739 billion ($64.7 million).

The current balance is 80% down from the figure posted in early July 2018 and 66.7% lower than at the beginning of the year, according to the website of Ukraine's State Treasury Service.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the balance of funds in the Treasury's single account was estimated at UAH 5.099 billion (US$189.8 million) as of January 1, 2018, which was 64.3% down from the figure as of January 1, 2017.

The balance in the single treasury account is not a constant value. It is subject to increases due to revenues from taxes and other mandatory payments to the state and local budgets and subject to decreases amid budget spending peaks.
